Mike S.Goodfellow 1930-

The prototype BAe 146, G-SSSH msn E1001, made her first flight from Hatfield on 3 September 1981. She had already made several hops into the air on the previous day, during runway trials. For her first flight, she was piloted by BAe chief test pilot Mike Goodfellow, assisted by deputy chief test pilot Peter Sedgwick, assistant flight test manager Roger de Mercado, and senior instrumentation engineer Ron Hammond. The flight began at 11:54 am, and lasted 95 minutes.
