S/Ldr Peter G.Robarts 1916-1951
S/Ldr Peter Roberts served in the RAF during the war,he left in 1945 to join the Vickers organisation. He flew a Spitfire trainer 8 in the Kings Cup race in 1950,establishing a world record in th 100km closed circuit with a speed of 328mph.
He was killed whilst test flying a production model Vickers-Supermarine Attacker for the Royal Navy on February 5th 1951 from South Marston
