Eric A Hyde

Eric A Hyde served in the RAF between 1941-1946,flying fighters in Burma. After the war he joined Airwork Ltd as a maintenance test pilot before becoming a staff pilot in the Naval Ferry Pool 1951-53. He was senior flight commander of No 615 Squadron R.AuxAF before transferring to Belfast to join Shorts Brothers and Harland in 1953 as a test pilot. Had flown more than 84 types. He displayed the Shorts Seamew at FArnborough in 1955.
